Women's Circle - Celebrate Spring Pagan Style
UU Society of Geneva
The spring – or vernal – equinox falls on March 20th this year. This is the time the sun shines directly on the equator and the length of day and night are said to be equal. It is also the time when many traditions celebrate the seasonal change from the darkness of winter to the brightening of spring. Can’t you already hear more birds singing in the morning?
Easter and Passover are well known religious celebrations, but this year come say good-bye to winter with us on March 24th when the Women’s Circle celebrates Ostara, the spring equinox, through the creation of sacred space and group ritual. This is a time for us to recognize the formal beginning of spring, the awakening of the earth, and its returning fertility. Come join us in honoring this blessing of life’s renewal through this ancient spiritual ritual! Sign up here.
