Soup Kitchen Group
Aurora Soup Kitchen (aka The Sandwich Board)
UUSG partners with St. Charles Episcopal Church to provide sack lunches to those in need. The distribution is done at Trinity Episcopal Church in Aurora. Although sack lunches are provided every week, UUSG’s responsibility is only six times per year. This worthy ministry serves not only the homeless and unemployed, but also the working poor.
If you would like to contribute, please register through sign-up genius here. You may sign-up for bottled water, packaged cookies, or packaged snack bars. The need is usually 250-300 pieces of each. Sign-up for any amount you’d like. Please indicate how many pieces you’ll contribute as well as where you will drop the items off. You may take them directly to Trinity Episcopal in Aurora or drop them off at UUSG.
Alternatively, if you don’t have the time nor inclination to shop for food items, you might consider a cash donation and let us do the shopping for you. Simply mark your contribution envelope with “Soup Kitchen.”
Thank you for helping to feed the needy in our community!
