Feb. 28 7-8:30 Monday Movie: Richard Rothstein, “The Color of Law”

On February 28 at 7:00 the Monday Movie will share a recent interview with Richard Rothstein discussing his work, "The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America". In the book, he argues that racial housing segregation is the result of government policy at all levels - federal, state, and local. We will discuss his conclusions following the presentation.

Rothstein is an American academic and author affiliated with the Economic Policy Institute, and a senior fellow (emeritus) at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. His current research focuses on the history of segregation in the United States with regards to education and housing.
