Make a Difference “MAD” Fund

The “Make A Difference” fund & oversight committee were established in 1996 to respond to requests from church members and friends for practical, short-term, one-time emergency financial assistance. Committee members are chosen by the minister with the consent & approval of the Board. MAD monies are handled through our State Bank of Geneva “Ministerial Discretionary Fund” account.  The minister oversees this account, but two signatures are required on all checks, and no funds are disbursed without the prior approval of at least two members of the MAD committee (one of whom may be the minister).
