The annual Cookie Walk is a long-held and cherished fund-raising tradition at UUSG. Our Cookie Walk is a part of the Geneva celebration that welcomes in the holiday season with lights, food, and festivities. Many of you already know what to do – and if you plan to help, please sign up using the check boxes below, at Clipboard Central, or call Sherri Casterline at (847) 464-5302 or Elba Karim at (630) 584-4618.

For those of you who are new to our community, or who haven’t had the pleasure of participating, the Cookie Walk presents a wonderful opportunity to make a contribution to UUSG. You can bake cookies, help set up for the event, or help at the event itself.

If you elect to bake, we ask that you make holiday cookies -- the more festive, the better. Need a recipe? We can provide one. If you are not inclined to bake, you can help set up for the event (assemble pastry boxes, arrange cookie displays) on Thursday evening, December 6th. Or, you can work at the event itself on Friday, December 7th. Two shifts are available: 3:45pm – 5:30pm or 5:15pm – 7:15pm. Responsibilities are varied but relatively simple, and we will train you. Parking can be a challenge for the second shift, so it’s wise to get there a little earlier.

Cookie drop-off will take place on Thursday, December 6th, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. New – We now run two lines through the Common Room (cookie room), so please package cookies so that you have two (or sets of two) similar packages of cookies. Make sure they are well protected (covered or wrapped in plastic wrap/other protective material) and enclose a piece of paper with the name of the cookies.

Our most sincere thank you, and if you have questions please contact Elba Karim or Sherri Casterline.
